Robert Marcum is a singer/songwriter/guitarist whose musical roots reach back to the early San Francisco folk/rock scene. He was an original member of the San Francisco production of the musical "HAIR" and has shared the stage with such notables as Jefferson Airplane, The Righteous Brothers and John Fahey. He has been playing the "coffee house" circuit off and on for over forty years.
Robert's music has been influenced by many singers, songwriters, performers and bands including: James Taylor, Van Morrison, Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Fred Neil, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. One of his earliest and strongest influences was Canadian singer/songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. Robert's "Tribute To Gordon Lightfoot" show has been performed numerous times since it's inception in 2012, (solo and with a second guitarist and bassist) to standing-room-only audiences.
His current offering includes an eclectic mix of outstanding covers and original tunes, He is currently accompanied by accomplished bassist, Brian Dear.
